Do people my age often go to plays? Maybe not.
This is one of the few that I have gone to and surprisingly my boyfriend wasn’t totally against it. I’m impressed. If you live in South Florida, they will be holding more plays at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.

Ever gone to a Renaissance Festival? This past weekend was my first time going to one. When I got there I was amazed, I didn’t expect it to be so big! I believe everyone should go at least once in their life.
I went with my boyfriend and his friend who have attended in the past. There was so many cool things to buy! I wasn’t prepared. A personal favorite of mine was the dragon head incense diffuser.
Almost EVERYONE came in their fancy and elaborate get up. Let me tell you…these people were committed because it was hot as hell down here in Florida. But the outfits were amazing…to be honest I was kind of jealous.
They have so many shows, how can you attend all of them? I didn’t have a problem at all being entertained. Then of course, I chowed down on a traditional turkey leg. I’m not really a big fan of the turkey leg but it was my boyfriend’s first time eating one.
We had lots of fun. I would definitely go again.
What are your plans for this weekend? Dress up, go out and see this beautiful play of the classic, Little Mermaid.
By the way, does anyone live in New York? Anastasia the Musical is coming to Broadway March 23!

Don’t know what to do for the weekend? Here is an idea.
I love having new experiences. Honestly, things have kind of been getting old and boring lately. Ever since I moved closer to school, I can’t seem to really get fixated on anything. I use to love baking, anime, korean dramas, DIY videos. That is why I have been trying different things and getting that rush from new experiences.
This weekend, my sister scheduled us for some facials which was suppose to be my Christmas/Birthday Gift. Mind you my birthday falls on January 3rd. Nonetheless, we met up at the place and as soon as I walked in I was instantly excited.
Excited because I noticed they had an aroma diffuser which I actually want for myself. The atmosphere was quiet, relaxing and pleasant. After filling out some information, they took me to a room which was dimly lit and the whole while instrumental/nature sounds played in the background. The people were really nice and didn’t mind explaining the procedure to a newbie like me. I get stressed very easily and I’m always rushing so it felt so great to just lay there and focus on the music and the smells. After the facial, I was asked for my choice of beverage and (because I’m not legally allowed to drink yet) I settled for the herbal tea.
So a while ago I had seen that there was a Groupon for an Escape Room activity and the people I was mentioning it to were not into it at all. Lately though, they have been growing in numbers and even the Xtreme Action Park which is very popular in my area is opening Escape Rooms themselves.
If you are the kind of person that loves a mental challenge, I would definitely try it. I am lucky that I found someone that wants to do it with me.
Once I try it out I will let you guys know how it went.
What is an Escape Room? An escape room is a physical adventure game in which players are locked in a room and have to use elements of the room to solve a series of puzzles and escape within a set time limit. The games are physical versions of "escape the room" video games. At least that is what Wikipedia says. Where did they originate? According to the Washington Post, after taking off in Asia, Western Europe and the West Coast, these attractions are popping up across the country. Are they really that challenging? It all depends on the Escape Room in your area but for instance, Escape Room Live DC is "set up so about 30 percent of participants can escape in time without help from the gamemaster". Is it expensive? According to npr, tickets run around $30 a person at most places, or teams can buy out the room.
