I love having new experiences. Honestly, things have kind of been getting old and boring lately. Ever since I moved closer to school, I can’t seem to really get fixated on anything. I use to love baking, anime, korean dramas, DIY videos. That is why I have been trying different things and getting that rush from new experiences.

This weekend, my sister scheduled us for some facials which was suppose to be my Christmas/Birthday Gift. Mind you my birthday falls on January 3rd. Nonetheless, we met up at the place and as soon as I walked in I was instantly excited.

Excited because I noticed they had an aroma diffuser which I actually want for myself. The Image result for aroma diffuseratmosphere was quiet, relaxing and pleasant. After filling out some information, they took me to a room which was dimly lit and the whole while instrumental/nature sounds played in the background. The people were really nice and didn’t mind explaining the procedure to a newbie like me. I get stressed very easily and I’m always rushing so it felt so great to just lay there and focus on the music and the smells. After the facial, I was asked for my choice of beverage and (because I’m not legally allowed to drink yet) I settled for the herbal tea.

Double DIY Day

Hey there,

Well because I’m posting a lot of beauty stuff lately I might as well post some DIY’s to go with it

DIY Makeup Brush Holder

diy brush holder

Thing you will need:

– Jar

– Beads

The beads can be substituted with marbles, pearl beads, sand, etc.

~ These Jars can be purchased at Dollar General for $1. You can buy the beads at Walmart, Target of Michaels.

I ran out of yellow beads so I added some flowers to keeps the brushes standing. If I could do anything differently I’d change the yellow beads with pearl looking ones to match the flowers. It’s important to fill the jar with enough beads or items to hold up the brushes

If you are really crafty, here is another DIY my mother thought of the other day:

Liquid Eyeliner Brush into Nail Art Brush

~ You can just recycle that old thin eyeliner brush and instead use it to make perfect nail art designs. TIP: You can also use the bottle to add some nail polish color that you would like to use for the design.

DIY Uses for Vaseline

From an article by one of my favorite Youtube Makeup Gurus:

1.) Lip scrub: Mix some Vaseline with sugar for a DIY lip scrub.  Here’s a video I made to show you how.

2.) Skin softener: Rough elbows, feet or hands? Just put Vaseline on any dry spots and put mittens or socks on before you go to sleep – you’ll wake up with baby-soft skin!

3.) Makeup remover: Vaseline removes eye makeup in a few simple swipes – just make sure you are rinsing it off afterwards to avoid any eye irritation.

4.) Hair dye protector: If you dye your hair at home, be sure to apply some Vaseline along your hairline so the dye doesn’t stain your skin.  It also protects your skin from the harsh chemicals in the dye!

5.) Chafing healer:  Protect your nose from chafing during a cold or chilly weather by applying a dab of Vaseline.

6.) Highlighter: Apply a tiny dab of Vaseline to the top of your cheekbones for a pretty, radiant sheen.  It can also be used to help you achieve the “wet” eye makeup look that was all over fall runways.

7.) Cream-ify: Turn any powder eyeshadows or blushes to cream by mixing them with a bit of Vaseline. Use your concoction as a tinted lip balm that will keep your lips smooth all winter long.

8.) Cuticle protector: Keep your cuticles soft and moisturized by massaging Vasline into them.  If you do this before a manicure, this will also keep your nail polish from getting on your cuticles!

9.) Smooth flyaways:  If you’re going for a super-sleek pony, use a tiny bit of Vaseline to smooth and tame any flyways.  Remember, a little goes a long way!

10.) Make your perfume last: Apply a bit of Vaseline to your pulse points to make your perfume last longer.
