-What is PHP Project?
People Helping People (PHP) Project is in the most part an interactive experience with different types of wonderful people. I wouldn’t call it a community because it sounds too limited.
My goal is to expand this project to positively influence the lives of people. Don’t think in any way that this is only to target people who, unfortunately, struggle with depression. This is much more than that. This is to help us make a change in our lives and to make an impact on others. This is how I see it… words are very powerful. Words have the power of hurting someone or making them really happy. They help humans understand each other better and help us build strong bonds. My boyfriend, Andy, reminds me frequently of this verse
The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences
Words can empower your choices. If they are pessimistic, then your choices and your results will be too. I feel like help can be received in so many ways just by communicating that it’s just mind blowing. The internet, as a medium to be able to reach people from across the globe and our communication as intelligent and wonderful human beings, can easily create a change in people’s lives.
Hena stop being all fancy and just tell me what you’re going to do.
Okay. I’m going to continue publishing posts that I think will help you, but you can make it easier by actually interacting with me. Interacting? Yes, well more like communicating. Write your questions, comments, concerns, answers, suggestions, you name it. Just fill the comment box. I want you to give me your input. That way it is easier for me help you.
Another approach is as follows: You might have a concern and you comment on it, then someone comes along and can reply to you with a post or article they wrote or found to help you. Maybe someone has had a personal experience. You can learn a lot from it, but you learn more when you actually experience it for yourself. Well at least that’s what they say. Tell me about the experience. Let us know.
Did you post a really good recipe for Thanksgiving? Share it with us and we can share it with you. I am thinking about putting a forum page for this exactly. You don’t have to go through the extra effort of having to explain your recipe. Just link your post from your blog and give us a sentence about it. It’s as simple as that.
I haven’t solved all the quirks of starting this project, but I think I’m headed to a good direction. Am I starting to make more sense? You have an opinion and I would really like to hear it, but of course there are some rules to follow.
Rule #1: There is no discriminating, name calling, or stereotyping.
Rule #2: If you don’t like something or disagree with it, you don’t have to be rude about it. Constructive criticism is welcomed. Try to see the good in things, this is all about helping.
This is why I will be moderating comments on my blog.
Thank you for taking your time to read my proposal and I hope you can become a part of this experience. 🙂
