Song of the Day 2

Birthday Card for Homeless Kids

Hey guys,

So I have been posting about this lately.

Here are our cards so far

I thought I should explain this one more

This card has an orange pocket that contains three white origami hearts. The instructions are to color the hearts with the crayon provided in order to reveal a hidden message. Of course, it’s something sweet. 🙂

School & Project Update

I attended my psychology class today.

It was not what I expected…

The teachers seems entertaining.

But he seems a bit full about himself and doesn’t care about any body else’s opinions or even feelings.

The first minute of class there was already a debate and it literally lasted the whole class period

A student who had him already told me that he is really nice and fun and that I have to get to know him.

He even wrote his own book for our course. I don’t know if that’s a good thing.

Anyways, Andy is in his photography class right now and he will tell me how it goes later. ^-^

I was able to do some birthday cards for homeless kids this weekend and I have yet to post pictures of them.

I promise I will do it soon.

First Day of Senior Year

Well technically I’m a sophomore at college.

But anyways, it was a little hectic in the morning but I didn’t particularly feel stressed.

It’s been a very laid back day.

It is very hot though and I have to go back to class at 3 PM for….Government.

I don’t think it’s a good things I had to pull out my schedule again to check.

Yay I go home soon. It’s a good thing I decided to blog right now because I just remembered I had to go to the Student Life department.

Talk to you soon.

Bye Bye Money

Today was the last day I come to work until winter term 😦 I will definitely miss earning some good money.

Now I’m off to pooping school on Monday. To be honest I’m actually looking forward to it. Hopefully I get to meet some awesome people and not be my loner self (not that I don’t love my loner self).

I am also looking forward to my Advanced Psychology class and I will tell you guys about that later.

Psychology, Doctor’s Exam Results, and Movie Night

In an earlier post, I wrote about the stress of trying to plan out my psychology career. I’m 17 by the way.

I actually started figuring things out and I’m hoping to major in both Psychology and Business.

Info for you:

If you want to stay with psychology I would recommend you become a Social Worker or a Human Services Specialist.

You can get jobs like Marketing or Insurance Sales Agent with psychology but its best if you have something like a business course to push you in that field.

Of course I’m staying in Florida and I should be getting my bachelors in 2 -3 years. I didn’t know that there was a Crash Course for Psychology. You should check it out. I might just post them here for you.

I recently went to the doctors to check my health and I had an exam done so wish me good luck on my results. I am going to call today to find out. I also visited the eye doctor and I got some new glasses they should be in by next week.

Andy and I are going to be using our beautiful creative minds to make some interesting birthday cards for homeless kids. I would really like you guys to do it. Use your creativity, it’ll be fun I promise and then you’ll realize you did it for a good cause.

Lastly, I decided I want to have a movie night with Andy. I thought it would be a great idea if you tried one too. I don’t think it’ll be anytime soon because it will be at his house and I’ve yet to formally meet his parents. 😦

Birthday Cards for Homeless Kids

Happy Birthday!

The Problem

Over a million children experience homelessness every year. Many kids’ birthdays fall while they are in a shelter, making it hard to celebrate.

The Solution

Make and mail a birthday card to help ensure everyone gets to celebrate on their special day!

A shelter staff member will receive the card you send. Then, the staff member, family, or friends will write a personal message inside for the birthday boy or girl.
